Since March 2004, I have been experimenting with an Apache Server running MySQL and PHP. The learning environment of choice is Moodles. Its ease of setup and use combined with the fact that it is open source make it a perfect solution not only for my teaching but also for others who have shown much interest in adopting Moodles for their own purposes, too.
